CURRENT PRODUCTION:

"This bright, clever and bittersweet drama introduces us to sweet Rosie, the clever and kind one and the glue that holds the group, pretty Jess, who is besotted with her boyfriend and loves new clothes, and brittle Paige, who is spiky and impulsive and above all wants to be someone she's not" ... "Cracking writing and acting"

THROUGH THE SCREEN

Brand new virtual play "THROUGH THE SCREEN" produced for Buxton Festival Fringe.

After their previous sell-out successes After Alice (2014) and Ugly (2015), Orange and Pip Theatre weren’t sure when they’d have the opportunity to perform as a group again, but when the Covid-19 lockdown put jobs and lives on hold they were presented with a unique chance to reunite and have fun trying out a brand new medium.

Through the Screen centres on three uni students, sent home and separated during quarantine, and follows what happens when kind-hearted Rosie discovers a secret that could tear their friendship group apart.

Orange and Pip produced this experimental piece as a fun “lockdown project” enabling them to explore a new way of working in a playful manner. Through the Screen allowed the three performers to experience acting for the (web)camera and produce a piece which captures aspects of these unusual times.
